LEISURE: Don’t miss out – buy your Yeovil Beer Festival tickets now!

THE countdown to this year’s Yeovil Beer Festival is well and truly on and organisers are advising fest-goers to get their tickets as soon as possible.

The festival – which is being held at the Westlands Yeovil venue in Westbourne Close on Friday, April 21, 2017, and Saturday, April 22, 2017 – is once again going to be an enjoyable couple of days for hundreds of people.

There will be more than 80 real ales available to sample along with 20-plus ciders, while there will also be an abundance of live music over two stages and refreshments.

The festival will be serving the drinks between 6pm to 11pm on the Friday and then from midday to 5pm and again from 6pm to 11pm on Saturday.

Tickets for the festival are priced as follows:

Friday, April 21, 2017: Evening Session – 6pm to 11pm: £7.

Saturday, April 22, 2017: Afternoon Session – midday to 5pm: £7.

Saturday, April 22, 2017: Evening Session – 6pm to 11pm. £10.

Saturday, April 22, 2017: Both Sessions. £15.

A spokesman for the organisers said: “We’ re delighted to be back for a fifth year and also delighted to be one of the first events to be hosted by the new Westlands Yeovil venue.

“A huge thank you to all who made 2016 such a fantastic event – volunteers, sponsors, bands and, of course, the public who turned up in droves and made the Saturday a sell-out.”

A special thank you goes to Yeovil Round Table and Yeovil Lions Club for its steadfast support since the first festival in 2013.

So far the previous four beer festivals have helped to raise more than £40,000 for local charities.

The spokesman added: “People should buy their YBF tickets online and guarantee their entry to the event. Tickets may be available on the door subject to availability, but this is not guaranteed.

“Each ticket includes a person to a legendary YBF glass and programme.”

The YBF Bar will operate a token system – no cash will be taken over the counter. Tokens will be available to buy on the day and each one can be exchanged for half-a-pint of beer or cider.
