GLOVERS NEWS: Yeovil Town get away trip to Odd Down after Paulton success

YEOVIL Town have been given an away tie at Odd Down in the Second Round of the Somerset Premier Cup.

It comes following Yeovil’s 3-2 success at Paulton Rovers on Wednesday (September 30, 2015) with a team comprised of Academy players.

Yeovil got off to a bad start when Jordan Ricketts – son of former Glovers’ centre-half Tony Ricketts – put Paulton 1-0 up after 14 minutes.

Paul Akinuli drew Yeovil level on 29 minutes and then Jack Ball put the Glovers ahead on the stroke of half-time.

Ollie Bassett put Yeovil 3-1 up on 61 minutes, only for Ross Staley to reduce the deficit with 14 minutes remaining.

But Yeovil held on for the win and will now face a trip to Odd Down with Second Round ties scheduled to be played in the week beginning November 9, 2015.
