The Glovers have been on the receiving end of some poor judgements by referees this term in the Sky Bet Championship.

And Johnson, speaking to the press today (Thursday, October 3, 2013) ahead of Saturday’s Championship clash at Middlesbrough, said that if it was not for “officialdom” then Yeovil would be “five or six points” better off.

Following Tuesday’s 2-1 defeat at home to Leicester City, Yeovil find themselves 22nd in the table on five points.

An extra six points would have seen them pushing for the top of the bottom half of the table and in a healthy position.

“You can’t blame the lads for not picking up those five or six points, but they would look very handy,” he added.

Johnson said that he hoped that “bad decisions” would, over the course of the season, go their way – to suggest that perhaps they will get some points in matches that they do not possibly deserve.

But he added: “We’ve got 46 games this season to get it right.”
