Football: Manchester United keeper heading for Yeovil Town?

THERE has been widespread speculation overnight that young Manchester United goalkeeper Sam Johnstone is joining the Glovers on loan.Football: Manchester United keeper heading for Yeovil Town?

Yeovil suffered a big blow in mid-week when Wolverhampton Wanderers and Wales keeper Wayne Hennessey had to pull out of a loan move to Huish Park due to injury.

Now there has been much talk about the 20-year-old Johnstone, who has come up through the youth ranks at Old Trafford, being lined-up for the Glovers.

No official news has been released by Yeovil Town about the possible development which suggests that goalkeeping coach, Gareth Stewart, could be called upon to go between the sticks for the Sky Bet Championship match at Burnley this afternoon (Saturday, August 17, 2013).

Stewart came on early in last week’s fixture at Huish Park against Birmingham City due to a broken hand to regular number one Marek Stech.
