Webster, who has been captaining the Glovers in the absence of injured skipper Jamie McAllister, was a smash hit with the Pen Mill Pumas when he went along to one of their training sessions.

And Neil Mapletoft, who helps to run the Pumas, said: “What a brilliant session – thank you to Byron Webster who came along to coach the boys.

“Our defenders look a lot stronger already!”

Neil, himself a big Glovers fan and is well-known for his work with the Fun Zone giant inflatable entertainment business, who are sponsors of the Yeovil Press, added: “Byron was a really top bloke and I hope his words of advice will help the boys in the Yeovil Mini Soccer League.

"On behalf of the Pen Mill Pumas I would like to wish Byron and everyone at Yeovil Town all the best for this season in the Sky Bet Championship."
