Football: Yeovil Town delighted with Madden

YEOVIL Town boss Gary Johnson had that it is “great” to have striker Paddy Madden at Huish Park on a permanent basis.

The Irishman has been a huge success so far in his Yeovil Town career having scored 13 goals for the Glovers this season since seeing a loan spell with the club from npower League One outfit Carlisle United become a full-time move.

“It’s absolutely great to have Paddy Madden around,” said Johnson. “He is an infectious runner, he has a bit of Irish blood in him and is a great finisher. He shows that week in, week out for us.”

He scored both of Yeovil’s goals in the 2-1 success over MK Dons on Tuesday night and has now scored six goals in the last three matches.

He will be looking to add to his tally tomorrow (Saturday, Feb 2) when Yeovil play host to Brentford at Huish Park in a 3pm kick-off.
