Skittles: No major shocks in Dening Cup Third Round

DIVISION Four side Plan Bee were unable to pull off a major upset in the Third Round of the Dening Cup in the Yeovil Skittles League.

Plan Bee had been hoping to produce a big giant-killing act by beating Division One leaders Yellow Wagtail B.

But the Division One side eased their way through to the quarter-finals with a 33-pin victory.

Railway A, of Division Three, came agonisingly close to produce a cup upset when they lost by just one pin to Unstoppables, of Division One.

But there was one surprise result when Clangers, of Division Three, beat Monks Habits, of Division Two, by eight pins.

The other Third Round tie saw Traders, of Division One, beat Three at a Time, of Division Three, by 16 pins.

The quarter-final draw has been made and sees Yellow Wagtail B given a home tie against Division Three side Clangers; Maca’s Muppets, also of Division Three, will play host to Division Two’s Royal Marine; and all Division One ties between Conservative Club and Pirates and Unstoppables who visit Traders.
