Swimming: Yeovil going for promotion

EXCITEMENT is growing as Yeovil District Swimming Club prepares to compete in the final round of the National Arena Swimming League.

Yeovil have a fantastic chance of gaining promotion to the Premier League and competing against the best clubs in the South West region next year.

A club spokesman said: “All our swimmers are training hard and working well to be at their best ready for the final.”

The final takes place tomorrow (Saturday, December 8) at Millfield at 3pm.

The Yeovil team has competed very well in the previous two rounds and amassed the second highest points total in Division One – giving them a chance of gaining promotion.

“It is a great opportunity to come and see our top swimmers compete in an exciting and highly charged atmosphere,” added the Yeovil team spokesman.

“See some fantastic closely fought racing and help make us the best supported team in the final and inspire our swimmers to perform at their best.”

The teams competing tomorrow are Swim Bournemouth B, Salisbury, Yeovil, Swindon Dolphins, Newton Abbot, Southwold, Severnside Tritons A and Tornadoes South Dorset.
