Electricity pole destroyed in accident

TWO fire engines from Yeovil were mobilised last night to an accident on the Tintinhull Road at Chilthorne Domer.

The alarm was raised at just before 9.30pm with suggestions that people may have been trapped inside a vehicle.

But on arrival they found nobody inside the wreckage, but a large amount of debris on the road with one main electricity pole destroyed.

Western Power were requested to attend the incident with a electricity cable “precariously” close to floodwater.

Police and ambulance also attended the scene.
