Football: Johnson delighted for Yeovil Town's new boy

YEOVIL Town boss Gary Johnson (pictured) described Paddy Madden's debut for the Glovers' yesterday as ''super.''

Madden scored twice in Yeovil's 3-1 victory over Colchester United at Huish Park - the Glovers' first npower League One victory after a run of six successive defeats.

And Johnson, who drafted in Madden on a month's loan spell from Carlisle United last week, told the BBC: "It was a super debut for him.

''We felt that we needed that club in our bag, and that sort of infectious runner up there. He has helped, but James Hayter had his best game of the season as well. The two of them were very unselfish in their movement and their running, and there was a lot of skill.

''It was lovely to see Paddy score the two goals. He had a couple of chances for his hat-trick as well, but that might have been too much for his debut. He certainly created a wonderful first impression."
