GLOVERS NEWS: Boxing Day joy for Yeovil Town

YEOVIL Town enjoyed Boxing Day success on Tuesday (December 26, 2017) with a 2-0 success at West Country rivals Cheltenham Town.

Omar Sowunmi gave the Glovers the lead on 69 minutes with a well-taken goal and then Jordan Green doubled the lead with five minutes remaining.

It meant Yeovil had achieved their first back-to-back League Two victories in 14 months.

Although the victory over Cheltenham, managed by former Yeovil Town boss Gary Johnson, was a great result – it still left Yeovil down in 19th spot in the table, but now seven points away from the drop zone.
