GLOVERS NEWS: Poor game, poor result and poor performance by Yeovil Town

THE boos rang out around Huish Park on Saturday (September 30, 2017) as Yeovil Town fell to a miserable 1-0 defeat at home to Colchester United in the Sky Bet League Two.

The only goal of the game came just before the interval when Sean Murray netted on 43 minutes.

But any hopes of a comeback in the second period did not materialise as Yeovil produced an extremely disappointing performance which left many in the 2,556 crowd disgruntled.

The result saw Yeovil Town left in 17th spot in the table on 12 points from 11 games played and the result was the Glovers’ first league defeat at Huish Park this season.

There are now just three teams in League Two undefeated at home this season – table-toppers Notts County, eighth-placed Mansfield Town and tenth-placed Newport County.

Yeovil travel to Newport on Saturday (October 7, 2017) hoping to pick up their second away success of the 2017-18 campaign.
