GLOVERS NEWS: Yeovil Town have to settle for a point

YEOVIL Town had to settle for a share of the spoils this afternoon (Saturday, February 20, 2016) in a 1-1 draw at home to promotion-chasing Portsmouth at Huish Park in the Sky Bet League Two.

Francois Zoko scored from close range to give Yeovil the lead on 73 minutes and then Pompey’s plight was made worse when Christian Burgess was sent-off for a second yellow card on 81 minutes.

But Pompey battled back and drew level through Gary Roberts on 84 minutes to thwart Yeovil in their hopes of collecting a big three points.

Many Yeovil fans would have taken a point against the visitors ahead of the game, but they will no doubt feel that it was another two points dropped by the Glovers.

Yeovil remain in the bottom two of the League Two table. Portsmouth will be disliking Yeovil intensely having now been held by the Glovers in both of their league encounters this season.
