GLOVERS NEWS: Yeovil Town end season with a 5-1 hiding

YEOVIL Town’s dismal 2014-15 season in the Sky Bet League One finished on a suitable horrific note as they lost 5-1 at MK Dons.

Goals from Carl Baker, Dean Lewington, Darren Potter and Will Grigg put MK Dons 4-0 up inside 40 minutes.

Yeovil reduced the deficit on 56 minutes when Jordan Spence scored an own goal, but MK Dons went 5-1 up on 74 minutes when Lewington netted his second of the afternoon.

While Yeovil’s horrendous league season could not come quick enough, MK Dons celebrated with news that Preston North End had lost against Colchester United to mean that they would be joining BristolCity in the Championship next season as League One runners-up.

Yeovil are now looking ahead to life in League Two.
