YEOVIL Town returned to losing ways this afternoon (Saturday, January 31, 2015) when they went down 1-0 at Peterborough United in the Sky Bet League One.

The only goal of the game was scored just before the half-hour mark when Marcus Maddison put the ball past Yeovil keeper Jed Steer and into the net.RESULT: Peterborough United 1, Yeovil Town 0

Peterborough were the better of the two teams in the opening period on a very poor pitch. Yeovil responded in the second-half with a much-improved performance, but could not find that all-important equalising goal, while the home side spurned other chances.

The result meant it was Yeovil’s first defeat in four games having gained one win and two draws in their previous three League One outings.

The defeat saw Yeovil slip back to the bottom of the table, but now have a hugely important ten days coming up. Next Saturday (February 7, 2015) Yeovil play host to fellow strugglers Crawley – who beat promotion-pushing Preston North End today – at Huish Park in a 3pm kick-off.

Then the Glovers travel to Crewe Alexandra, who are just outside the relegation zone, on Tuesday, February 10, 2015.
