YEOVIL Town drew 1-1 this afternoon (Saturday, July 19, 2014) at Huish Park in a pre-season friendly with Reading.

But Yeovil drew level in the 72nd minute when an unnamed player on trial with the Glovers headed home at the back post.

Yeovil started the game with trialists Simon Gillett and Andy Welsh hoping to impress manager Gary Johnson. Both players are no strangers to Huish Park, however, with Welsh having played 118 games for the Glovers from 2008-11 and Gillett having been on loan with Yeovil in 2007.

But it was not a good afternoon for Welsh as he was stretchered off the field due to a head injury.

Yeovil had a further four unnamed trial players on the bench.

A crowd of 1,153 was at Huish Park for the match including 201 from Reading.
