SOUTH SOMERSET NEWS: All the fun of the fete for Harlequin CC!
HARLEQUIN Carnival Club this afternoon (Saturday, July 19, 2014) held its annual summer fete in Ilminster.
There were all the usual stalls and refreshments for people to enjoy such as face painting and tombola.
But a popular attraction at the fete – held at Greenfylde First School - was live mice racing in which entrants could pick one of eight small four-legged rodents to race against each other.

Also providing entertainment during the afternoon was the country dancing team from Greenfylde, while there was a coconut shy, bouncy castle, and football game to enjoy.
And willing volunteers were only "too happy" to get wet in the stocks!
