Yeovil Town v Barnsley: Glovers' Band of Brothers are ready for war

YEOVIL Town manager Gary Johnson has said that his players are ready for war in their battle to avoid relegation from the Sky Bet Championship.

With eight games remaining in the 2013-14, Yeovil know they need to win as many as possible to stand any chance of beating the drop.

Their next three games are crucial against Barnsley, Blackpool and Charlton Athletic – all of whom are in bottom section of the Championship table.Yeovil Town v Barnsley: Glovers' Band of Brothers are ready for war

The Yeovil manager said earlier today (Thursday, March 27, 2014) that he had been looking at possibly adding to his squad, but with the deadline on loans coming up fast, he is not too hopeful of anything actually happening.

But Johnson said: “I’m happy to be going into battle with the group of players we have got here. They are in battle mode.

“They want to be involved in helping to keep this club in the Championship.”

Yeovil play host to relegation rivals Barnsley on Saturday (March 29, 2014) before visiting Blackpool on Saturday, April 5, 2014 and then a trip to Charlton Athletic on Tuesday, April 8, 2014.

“They are six-pointers,” said the Yeovil manager.

Johnson’s Band of Brothers will be up for the challenge – make no mistake.
