Wigan Athletic v Yeovil Town: Duane returns to Huddersfield Town

ONE player who will not be featuring for Yeovil Town tonight (Tuesday, March 18, 2014) in the Sky Bet Championship clash at Wigan Athletic is winger Duane Holmes.

The attacking midfielder has cut short his loan period with the Glovers and returned to his parent club at Huddersfield Town.

Holmes, who only played the opening 29 minutes of last weekend’s game at QPR before being substituted, made five appearances in total for the Glovers. He was due to have had two more games with Yeovil – tonight’s trip to Wigan and this Saturday’s clash with Bolton Wanderers at Huish Park.

But Yeovil boss Gary Johnson, speaking to the BBC, said: “We didn’t want to keep Duane here if he wasn’t going to start in games – that wouldn’t be fair.

“So we thank him for his service and wish him well for the future.”
