Yeovil Town 1, Doncaster Rovers 0: Hayter is calmness personified

YEOVIL Town match-winner James Hayter has been praised by his manager for staying calm when it mattered.

Hayter confidently struck away the 59th minute winning goal from the penalty spot on Saturday (February 22, 2014) at Huish Park to clinch a vital 1-0 win over Doncaster Rovers.

And Yeovil boss Gary Johnson said: “He took it well – he was calmness personified.”

Hayter at 34 is among the elder statesmen of the team alongside skipper Jamie McAllister and their experience could prove crucial in the closing weeks of the season with the Glovers looking to avoid the drop from the Sky Bet Championship.

Johnson said that Hayter was an “asset” for the club and that he was calm in his “play and manner.”
