This motif, which is located in Westminster Street, features animated players as well as a festive greeting from the Club.

The lights will be switched-on on Thursday (November 14) to kick-off the countdown to Christmas. Over 40 new displays have been put up this year making Yeovil an even more attractive place in which to visit and to shop.

The lights are funded by Yeovil Town Council – with contributions from South Somerset District Council and a number of other local organisations and traders. These include donations of £500 from the Town Centre Partnership, £500 from the Yeovil Chamber and £200 from the Old Mill Group.

Mayor of Yeovil, Cllr Manny Roper – who will be helping to switch-on the lights - said: “Christmas is a special time of the year and the new lights give the Town an extra sparkle and magic.

"The town council has invested in a new set of lights to help maintain and develop the vitality and vibrancy of Yeovil Town Centre as a key shopping destination."

The switch-on will take place at 6.30pm in the Quedam Shopping Centre in Yeovil.
