Yeovil Town fans thanked by Madden for messages of support

OUT-OF-FAVOUR Yeovil Town striker Paddy Madden has thanked supporters for their messages of support and words of encouragement.

Madden has had a disappointing season so far with the Glovers in the Sky Bet Championship following on from the huge success of last term in which he was League One’s top goalscorer and helped Yeovil to play-off success at Wembley Stadium in May with a fantastic goal in the 2-1 final success over Brentford.Yeovil Town fans thanked by Madden for messages of support

The Irishman, a fans favourite at Huish Park, was left out of the Yeovil squad altogether which faced Brighton & Hove Albion on Saturday in a 0-0 draw.

A number of fans used the social networking Twitter site to get in touch with Madden and send him their best wishes following the weekend's Championship match.

One said: “You know what to do; work hard in training and make it impossible for you to be left out for the next game – you can do it!”

Another one Tweeted: “YTFC needs your goal scoring skills. They should remember you were top goal scorer and the Wembley goal – amazing!”

While another added: “Keep your head up Paddy – stay positive, and work your **** off so you get your place back!”

In reply, Madden had a simple sentence for the supporters.

“Thanks for the messages people, means a lot,” he Tweeted.
