Football: Ipswich Town 2, Yeovil Town 1: Glovers kept in the dressing roomTHE Yeovil Town players remained in the dressing room for 45 minutes after last night’s (Tuesday, September 17) 2-1 defeat at IpswichTown in the Sky Bet Championship for team meeting.

Yeovil boss Gary Johnson was disappointed with his side’s second-half showing which saw them go from 1-0 up at the interval go to 2-1 down in a seven-minute spell in the early part of the second period.

And Johnson, pictured, speaking to the BBC after the game, said: “We just had to go through a few things with the boys.

“I didn’t think they fought as hard as they should hve done after being 1-0 up. You’ve got to throw everything at it – you’ve got to squeeze up.

“We’ve got to play our game vigorously and keep the teams under pressure.”

Johnson added: “There were parts of the game when I think we did okay. But if you give Ipswich the time and the room, then of course as with any team at this level, they’re going to open you up and they’re going to be clever – and that’s what they were.”
