YEOVIL Town manager Gary Johnson may not have said categorically that centre-half Danny Seaborne had signed for the Glovers – but he gave every indication that the defender had joined the  Huish Park outfit.Football: Danny is a leader, says Yeovil Town boss

The news, as expected, was later formally announced on the club’s website, but Johnson did not confirm the signing during his after-match press conference tonight following the 5-0 defeat against Swansea City.

But he added: “He’s had his medical and a contract has been drawn up.”

Johnson said that Seaborne and fellow centre-half Byron Webster had done “alright” in the opening half of tonight’s friendly with the Premier League visitors.

“He’s got experience and is a bit of a leader,” added the Yeovil boss.

The 26-year-old defender is a former Southampton, Exeter City and AFC Bournemouth man and made his first appearance for the Glovers on Tuesday night in the 2-0 defeat at Torquay United.

The 6ft 3ins defender has signed a two-year contract.

But Johnson added: "We still have to get a couple more defenders in."
