Smoking Gun will be appearing live on the main Dutch Barn Stage on Saturday, June 8, before The Pineapple Thief and headline act Storm.

Band member Dave Woan, speaking on Facebook, said: “Smoking Gun are honoured to have been asked to appear at the special event that Home Farm is.

“It is an inspiration to see so much positivity and desire to help others arising out of personal tragedy.”

The PSA was formed following the death of former Yeovil College student Piers Simon in the Asian tsunami of 2004 age the age of just 33.

It helps to provide aid at disaster-hit regions around the world.

The PSA spin-off initiative School in a Bag helps to provide a rucksack of essential school equipment to children in poor areas.

Guitarist Dave added: “To Luke (Piers’ brother) and Henry (Piers’ dad), and everyone involved in the great work that the charity does, we salute you.”

Smoking Gun have a kicking mix of modern-day rock, along with other covers going back to the 70s and are influenced by bands like Radiohead, Led Zep, Foo Fighters and Stereophonics.

The festival will feature 54 acts on three stages.

It will kick-off on Friday, June 7, with Posh Frocks and Wellies, and then run through all day on Saturday, June 8, and finish with an afternoon concert on Sunday, June 9, finishing at 4pm.

Tickets are available from www.homefarmfest.co.uk and are priced £10 each for the Friday and Sunday shows, plus £15 for Saturday or you could buy a £30 weekender ticket.
