It helps to provide aid at disaster-hit regions around the world.

The PSA spin-off initiative School in a Bag helps to provide a rucksack of essential school equipment to children in poor areas.

Now The Pineapple Thief are looking forward to their performance at Home Farm.

“We’re delighted to be involved in this year’s Home Farm Festival and are looking forward to it being the biggest and best ever,” said drummer Keith Harrison.

“As a band it is always great fun to play at festivals, but this one is very special because it is celebrating the life of Piers Simon and also raising funds in his memory to ensure that the lives of many, many other people around the world can be rebuilt following natural disasters.

“We met Henry Simon (Piers’ dad) a few years ago and discovered the fantastic work that he and Luke (Piers’ brother) were doing to set up the charity and we’ve been firm friends ever since.”

The Pineapple Thief will be appearing at the festival on the main Dutch Barn Stage on June 8.
The festival will feature 54 acts on three stages.

It will kick-off on Friday, June 7, with Posh Frocks and Wellies, and then run through all day on Saturday, June 8, and finish with an afternoon concert on Sunday, June 9, finishing at 4pm.
