YEOVIL Town made it six wins on the bounce this afternoon with an excellent 1-0 success at Coventry City.

Cometh the hour, cometh the man and it was striker Paddy Madden - who needed 45 minutes rather than the actual 'hour' as per the aforementioned saying - to score the all-important goal which proved decisive.

Madden scored from close range to gain his 15th goal of the season for the Glovers - his 16th in total - in a campaign which seems to get better and better for the Irishman.

Yeovil had to battle deep once more with Coventry, who themselves had been on a good run of form, pressing the visitors and they held the majority of the possession during the afternoon at the Ricoh Arena.

But key words in Yeovil's drive this season is 'desire and commitment' - as requested by Yeovil boss Gary Johnson - and they demonstrated those vital characteristics once again.Football: Coventry City 0, Yeovil Town 1

Johnson, speaking to the BBC after the game, said that although he liked to see his team win 3-0 or 4-0, he was more than pleased to win away games 1-0.

The Glovers remain in seventh spot in the npower League One table and just outside the play-offs on goal difference from Brentford and Sheffield United.

Amazingly they are now also just five points off joint leaders Tranmere Rovers and Doncaster Rovers.

Johnson was asked about having an eye on automatic promotion and, speaking to the BBC, he joked: ''You will be talking about Europe next!''
