Madden, who scoed nine goals in a three-month loan spell in South Somerset from Carlisle United, is now a permanent fixture at Huish Park having completed a transfer this week.

And the 22-year-old, speaking to the BBC, has said that he wants to push on and continue his rich vein of goalscoring form.

"I've loved it here since Day One," he said. "All the fans and everyone around the club have made me feel welcome - so I'm buzzing to be here on a permanent basis.

"Our aim is the play-offs and I think we're good enough to get there. We just need to keep the performances up."

Madden is unavailable for Tuesday night's Johnstone Paint Trophy Area Semi-Final at Leyton Orient due to being cup-tied.

But he added: "I' ll be up at Leyton Orient cheering the boys on - we're all a team and we're all in it together."
