Running: Full results and report from Chard Flyer 10k 2013

THE vests of Yeovil Town Road Running Club made up four of the top ten finishers in the Chard Flyer 10k on New Year’s Day.

Tim Hawkins raced home for Yeovil in a time of 37mins and 59secs just ahead of second-placed team-mate Paul Rose in 38mins and 1sec.

Third was Mike Feighan, of South West Road Runners, in a time of 38mins and 39secs, while Yeovil’s Bryn Phillips was just outside the top three in fourth spot in a time of 39mins and 48secs.

The fourth Yeovil Town RRC member in the top ten was Orlando Brooke in eighth position in a time of 40mins and 44secs.

Other Yeovil Town RRC runners in the top 30 were Nick Brooke (17th in 43mins and 4secs); Richard Boulter (22nd in 43mins and 48secs); and Matt Driver (28th in 44mins 37secs).       PHOTO: Runners set off on the Chard Flyer on New Year's Day.

Leading female runners from Yeovil Town RRC were Anneli Collins in 54th place in 52mins and 24secs, Sophie Brooke in 59^th in 53mins and 15secs, and Lesley Nesbitt in 64th in 53mins and 44secs.

 First woman home was Alexandra Cutts, of South West Road Runners, in 14th spot overall in a time of 42mins and 34secs. Second woman was Amy Greenhalgh, of Axe Valley Runners, in 16th in 42mins and 59secs, while third female finisher was Tanya Lewis, of Running Forever, in 48mins and 29secs in 31st place overall.
