Skittles: Dening Cup Second Round news from the Yeovil League

THERE was a big surprise in the Second Round of the Dening Cup in the Yeovil League when Division One outfit Westland Choppers were dumped out by Maca's Muppets of Division Three.  

A. Priddle led the way for the Muppets with an excellent 57 as his side defeat the Choppers by 12 pins.

Wessex Sports, of Division One, also came a cropper at the Second Round stage when they lost by 17 pins to Monks Habits, of Division Two.

The only all-Division One clash saw Unstoppables beat Sparks by six pins.

Other Division One sides Pirates, Yellow Wagtail B, Traders and Conservative Club all negotiated their ties successfully.

There will be one Division Four side in the Third Round. Plan Bee defeated fellow Division Four side Hendford Halt by nine pins with B. Terry in inspired form with 63.
