GLOVERS NEWS: Tahvon Campbell leaves Yeovil Town

STRIKER Tahvon Campbell has returned to parent club West Bromwich Albion after the expiry of his loan at Yeovil Town.

The 19-year-old arrived for a second spell at Huish Park in August 2016, signing a six-month loan deal with the Glovers.

In total, Campbell appeared 41 times for Town scoring twice, helping Darren Way's side comfortably avoid relegation from Sky Bet League Two last season.

Both of the youngster's goals secured Yeovil three points, netting the winning goal against Crawley Town (2015/16 season) and Colchester United (2016/17 season).

A club spokesman said: “Everyone at Yeovil Town Football Club would like to thank Tahvon for his services during his time at Huish Park and wish him all the best in the future.”

Campbell, speaking on Twitter, said: “Would just like to thank everyone at YTFC – fans, players and staff – for the past six months. It’s a great club and has helped me a lot.”
