LEISURE: It’s a White Christmas with Yeovil Amateur Operatic Society

THE Yeovil Amateur Operatic Society is busy preparing for its forthcoming show at the Octagon Theatre – Irving Berlin’s classic show White Christmas.

The musical tells the story of two ex-army pals as they team up with a pair of sisters to put on a show to save a remote Vermont ski lodge that's fallen on hard times.

A little mischief, a few misunderstandings and a whole lot of romance are the perfect excuse for a magical evening of laughter, tears, dance and some of the greatest songs ever written, including Sisters, Blue Skies and of course, the legendary White Christmas.

This show is sure to get your feet tapping and have you leaving the theatre with that Christmas feeling!

The production opens at the Octagon Theatre on Tuesday, November 1, 2016, at 7.30pm.

There are then further shows at 7.30pm on Wednesday, November 2, 2016, through to Friday, November 4, 2016.

There will be a 2.30pm matinee show and a 7.30pm performance on Saturday, November 5, 2016, and a further 2.30pm matinee on Sunday, November 6, 2016.

The YAOS production is being led by Jeremy Tustin with musical director Kathryn Stevens helping to bring the music and lyrics of Irving Berlin alive on the Octagon stage.

Although this is an amateur production by arrangement with R&H Theatricals Europe, the show will be something more akin to a professional production such is the quality of performance given by the YAOS team.

Tickets are priced £18 and £15 for the matinees. A £1 Ticket Levy is included in all stated ticket prices.
