GLOVERS NEWS: Yeovil Town hit four in win

YEOVIL Town gained a second successive Sky Bet League Two victory this afternoon (Saturday, September 24, 2016) with a 4-2 success over Cheltenham Town, managed by former Glovers boss Gary Johnson.

Otis Khan gave the Glovers a 1-0 lead on six minutes and that advantage was doubled on 16 minutes through Darren Ward.

But Aaron Downes reduced the deficit for the visitors on 41 minutes, but there was still time for Matt Dolan to restore Yeovil’s two-goal lead before the half-time cuppa.

Billy Waters netted for Cheltenham to make it 3-2 in the 57th minute after he tapped home after a Danny Wright spot-kick had been parried by Yeovil keeper Artur Krysiak.

Cheltenham failed to push on for an equaliser and the matter was put beyond doubt in time added on when Tom Eaves made it 4-2 to Yeovil.

A crowd of 3,448 was at Huish Park for the match.
