LEISURE: Balcony area officially opens at Cricket St Thomas Golf Club

A NEW balcony area officially opens today (Friday, August 12, 2016) at the restaurant and clubhouse at the Cricket St Thomas Golf Club.

Owners Jacqui and Steve Hill bought the club – previously known as Windwhistle Golf Club – in October 2014 and the completion of the balcony is the latest step towards a complete refurbishment of the leisure facilities.

The club - situated between Crewkerne and Chard - boasts a 600 capacity permanent all-weather marquee available for events of all types, a 120 seat restaurant, sports bar and well-maintained 18-hole course, nine-hole pitch and putt and practice facilities.LEISURE: Balcony area officially opens at Cricket St Thomas Golf Club

The club is open to everyone with amazing membership deals for anyone who is interested in playing golf, and great food and drink – all home cooked – for those who are looking for a venue for an enjoyable meal.

Plans are now in motion to complete additional facilities for the greenstaff and then the next major plan is to add an additional hospitality suite comprising of conference facilities, wedding ceremony rooms and additional restaurant space.

“We’re all really excited about the future for this great venue – we’re aiming to become the leading sports and hospitality venue in the area,” said Cricket St Thomas Golf Club’s sales and events manager Tess Frecknell.
