NEWS FROM BRIDGWATER: Police appeal as cyclist remains in serious condition in hospital

POLICE are appealing for witnesses following a serious road traffic collision in Bridgwater yesterday (Wednesday, August 10, 2016) which has left a cyclist seriously injured in hospital.

It happened at about 1.15pm close to the junction of Bath Road and Frederick Road on the A39 – one of the busiest roads in Bridgwater.

The incident involved a car pulling a trailer which was in collision with a cyclist.

A police spokesman said: “The cyclist, in his mid-20s, suffered a head injury and was taken to Southmead Hospital in Bristol where he remains in a serious, but stable condition.

“We’re keen to hear from anyone who was in the area at the time who may have information to help our enquiries.”
