CHRISTMAS 2015: Who will switch on this year’s festive lights in Ilminster?

TIME is running out for those people who want to nominate themselves or someone else to switch on the Christmas lights in Ilminster.

The annual switch-on event in Ilminster – part of the Victorian Evening – is being held on Friday (November 27, 2015) with the lights going on at 7pm.

But who will have the honour of switching them on?

For the past few years the organising committee has held a raffle – with tickets costing £1 each.

People nominate themselves or someone else and their names can be posted in special boxes which can be found at Bonners, Harrimans, Home Hardware and Cottage Flowers in the town centre.

But you have to be quick – you have to enter by the close of play tomorrow (Wednesday, November 25, 2015) as the draw will take place on Thursday (November 26, 2015).

Proceeds from the raffle will go to Victorian Evening funds.
