GLOVERS NEWS: Defeat for Yeovil Town

YEOVIL Town suffered a 2-0 defeat this afternoon (Saturday, August 29, 2015) at Oxford United.

A goal in each half was enough to send Yeovil to their fourth defeat in five League Two outings this season and memories of the Glovers’ epic fightback last weekend to beat Luton Town 3-2 at Huish Park were quickly forgotten.

Danny Hylton gave Oxford the lead on 14 minutes and the hosts doubled their advantage to virtually assure themselves the three points when Callum O’Dowda netted with 15 minutes to go.

Oxford dominated the proceedings with Yeovil having just three shots during the entire 90 minutes.

It was a disappointing afternoon for the Glovers and for a brief spell during the afternoon – due to other results from around the country – they found themselves back in the bottom two of the table.

Yeovil finished the day in 21st position in the table with just three points from five games.
