LIVE MUSIC: Last Night of the Proms at the Octagon Theatre

THE British Philharmonic Orchestra will be playing at the Octagon Theatre in Yeovil later this year as part of a Last Night of the Proms concert.

The annual concert on Friday, September 4, 2015, is being hosted by the Rotary Club of Yeovil once again and the programme will include popular classics, light orchestra pieces, music from the movies and theatre and the big finale complete with pomp and flag waving.

Tickets are priced £24.50 and £22 and available from the Octagon box office on 01935-422884.

The show is being sponsored by accountants and financial planners Old Mill with proceeds going towards the Yeovil Hospital Charity’s CT Scanner Appeal.

The 32-piece British Philharmonic Orchestra, conducted by Fraser Goulding, will have excellent and professional support provided by nationally and internationally renowned soloists, Alison Roddy and Andrew Forbes Lane, together with the audience-pleasing, masterful skills and humour of the concert’s usual presenter Mark Langley.
