LEISURE: Dubs at the Mill VW Festival

FINAL preparations are being made ahead of this weekend’s Dubs at the Mill VW Festival.

Volkswagens of all shapes, sizes and ages will be descending on Haselbury Mill on Saturday and Sunday (May 16-17, 2015) for the festival.

Enthusiasts from across the region will be enjoying the weekend – which will be the fourth festival to be held at Haselbury Mill.

The weekend will see a large range of trade stands featuring clothing and autojumble and children’s crafts to retro furniture, while there will be live music each afternoon from local artists.

There will also be plenty for the children to do including a circus skills workshop and on Saturday there will be a visit from an Ice Princess.

Saturday night will see the weekend campers and other party-goers entertained by the Skimmity Hitchers – a unique local band.

Sunday will the “show and shine” competition where some finest vehicles in the area will be on display.

The Scrumpy Dubbers VW Club – who run the show – is this year proud to be supporting the Round Table Children’s Wish charity and Multiple Sclerosis.

Admission is £5 for over-14s and gates open at 9.30am each day. People wanting to stay on Saturday night for the live music – it will cost £10.

The event is being sponsored by Heritage Automotive.
