SOUTH SOMERSET NEWS: Fire at High Street property in Chard

FIREFIGHTERS were called out this afternoon (Monday, May 11, 2015) after getting reports of a property fire in Chard.

Two fire engines were mobilised at just before 5.45pm to the incident at a property in High Street.

Officers found smoke issuing from the home and a fire in an unattended oven. They quickly dealt with the situation.

A Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue Service spokesman said: “The cause was accidental.”
