GLOVERS NEWS: Former Arsenal man training with Yeovil Town

YEOVIL Town acting manager Terry Skiverton has said that former Arsenal midfielder Craig Eastmond is training with the Glovers.

Skiverton and his right-hand man Darren Way have been working hard behind the scenes looking at drafting in new players to Huish Park.GLOVERS NEWS: Former Arsenal man training with Yeovil Town

And Skiverton revealed today (Thursday, February 12, 2015) that free-agent Eastmond, who was released by fellow League One outfit Colchester United last week, was in talks with the club.

Skiverton revealed that he had been keen on bringing Eastmond to Huish Park several years ago from Arsenal at the same time he drafted in Luke Ayling.

“Craig has been training with us and we’ll have a chat with him and look to do something,” said Skiverton.

The Yeovil boss also indicated that there was another unnamed player with Championship experience “mulling over an offer” from the club, while he was also looking at bringing in a couple of loans.

“There has been lots of activity going on,” he said.

Eastmond made ten first team appearances for Arsenal between 2009 and 2013 in the Premier League, FA Cup, League Cup and Champions League.

He had three loan spells at Millwall, Wycombe Wanderers and Colchester United before signing for Colchester on a permanent basis in 2013.
