LIVE THEATRE: Meet The Addams Family!

VISITORS to the crazy and zany world of The Addams Family are in for a real treat this week at the Octagon Theatre – courtesy of the talented members of the Yeovil Youth Theatre.

And the good news is – if you haven’t got tickets yet to see this fab comedy-filled show, there’s still plenty of seats available.

Audiences will revel in the macabre hilarity of Gomez, Morticia, Uncle Fester, Lurch, Grandma, Wednesday and Pugsley.

The YYT team has put together a great cast who have taken their roles to their heart – and we could tell that just by going along to get a quick preview of the show at the dress rehearsal last night (Monday, November 17, 2014).

Harry Grinter and Erin Damon as Gomez and Morticia respectively are fab, while the madcap duo of Fester (James Matthews) and Grandmama (Natalie Sproston) are just bizarre in their lunacy.

And the way Lurch (Jake Terry) plods about the stage is brilliant.

Brother and sister Pugsley (played by Ryan Farrand and Will Swainson on alternate nights) and Wednesday (Leah Driver) will be big favourites and the audience will love the torture scene on the rack!

The story revolves around Wednesday and her love for Lucas Beineke (Will Poulton), but everything changes for the whole family on the night they host a dinner for Lucas and his parents (played by Ben Scott and Eronwy Selwyn).

One thing you are guaranteed with The Addams Family – there is no such thing as One Normal Night!

The YYT will be presenting the show from tonight (Tuesday, November 18, 2014) until Saturday (November 22, 2014). There will be nightly performances at 7.30pm, plus a Saturday matinee at 2.30pm.

Tickets are priced £16 for adults and £14 for concessions.
