SOUTH SOMERSET NEWS: Armed robbery at Co-op store

A MEMBER of staff at a convenience store in South Somerset was threatened by a man wielding a crowbar.

Police have just appealed for the public's help in identifying a man who they believe may have been responsible for the armed robbery at the Co-op store in Wincanton at aorund 9.55pm on Wednesday, November 12, 2014.

A police spokesman said: "A man has entered the store in the Camelot Shopping Centre and threatened a member of staff with a crowbar, demanding money and other items.

"The man is described as white, wearing a camouflage jacket, jeans and a dark coloured scarf across his face. He was carrying a black rucksack."
