RESULT: Sheffield United 2, Yeovil Town 0

YEOVIL Town slipped back into the relegation zone of the Sky Bet League One following last night’s (Tuesday, October 21, 2014) defeat at Sheffield United.

Goals in each half by Marc McNulty and Jamie Murphy settled the matter for the Blades who were in control of proceedings throughout.

Yeovil never really got going although they started the match with the same XI which had done well in last weekend’s 1-1 draw with Swindon Town, another of League One’s high-flying sides.

McNulty struck to break the deadlock on 14 minutes when he capitalised on an error by Yeovil keeper Artur Krysiak.

It was game over on 67 minutes when Murphy got clear of defender Seth Nana Twumasi and struck the ball home.

A crowd of 19,353 was Bramall Lane for the match – including 155 Yeovil supporters.
