YEOVIL Town gained an impressive 3-1 victory at Bradford City this afternoon (Saturday, September 6, 2014) in the Sky Bet League One.

Two goals by centre-half Aaron Martin and a first-ever for striker Ajay Leitch-Smith gave Yeovil three important points.RESULT: Bradford City 1, Yeovil Town 3

The result was a perfect tonic for everyone connected with the Glovers following a difficult week off-the-pitch with speculation about manager Gary Johnson’s future with Yeovil after “communication” problems with the board of directors.

Martin broke the deadlock for Yeovil in the eighth minute with a good header and then he doubled the Glovers’ advantage on 23 minutes.

Bradford reduced the deficit just moments later through Rory McArdle, but Yeovil made safe of the points when Leitch-Smith finally got his season’s goals tally off the mark with an excellent strike in the 72nd minute.

The victory moved Yeovil up to 12th spot in the League One table and the Glovers have now picked-up eight points from their last four games.
