Yeovil Town kick-off 2014-15 with a home game - new fixtures released

YEOVIL Town will kick-off the 2014-15 season in Sky Bet League One with a home game at Huish Park against old adversaries Doncaster Rovers.

The season gets underway on Saturday, August 9, 2014, and the Glovers have been give a home fixture for their opener back down in League One.

Ironically, it is against Doncaster Rovers – one of the two other sides who were relegated last season with Yeovil from the Sky Bet Championship.

Following Yeovil’s league opener against Doncaster they will then face Gillingham – also at Huish Park – in the First Round of the Capital One Cup most likely on Tuesday, August 12, 2014.

But then Yeovil travel to Gillingham on Saturday, August 16, 2014, for their first away game of the season and then followed by a trip to Walsall on Tuesday, August 19, 2014.

Old Yeovil Town favourite Paddy Madden will make an early return to Huish Park when his newly-promoted Scunthorpe United visit South Somerset on Saturday, August 23, 2014, before the busy opening month closes for the Glovers with the visit of Barnsley.

Yeovil Town will face a trip to Bristol City on Boxing Day (Friday, December 26, 2014) before playing host to Leyton Orient on Sunday, December 28, 2014, over the festive period.

The first fixture of the New Year sees Yeovil travel to Preston North End on Saturday, January 3, 2015.

Yeovil play host to West Country rivals Bristol City on Saturday, March 21, 2015, while they close the season on Saturday, May 2, 2015, with a trip to MK Dons.
