Toploader to appear in Yeovil charity concert for flooding victims

TOPLOADER – who hit the UK charts with Dancing in the Moonlight – have been confirmed as one of the headline acts to appear at Westland Leisure Complex in Yeovil next month in a charity concert to raise money for the Somerset flooding victims.

Further headline acts are set to be announced shortly by concert organisers SRL Promotions.

The concert at Westland Leisure Complex will take place on Saturday, March 15, while a similar event will take place at the Blake Hall in Bridgwater the previous night.

Toploader was formed in 1997 and have sold over two million album sales, but are best known for their cover version of King Harvest’s song Dancing in the Moonlight which became a global hit.

Dancing in the Moonlight sneaked into the Top 20 of the UK singles chart in 2000, but was then later re-released that same year and reached Number 7 in the chart.

One interesting fact about Toploader is they were the last British band to play at the original Wembley Stadium.
