Student car park to stay closed at Yeovil College

YEOVIL College has announced that a student car park will remain closed for the rest of the week due to the bad weather.

Earlier today (Wednesday, February 12, 2014) a tree fell down during the storm in the top student car park at the college off Mudford   Road and people were asked to remove their vehicles as quickly as possible to avoid any damage.

Now the college has used social networking site Twitter to say that the car park will remain closed for the rest of the week.

“More high winds are forecast so the top car park will be closed for the rest of the week as a precaution against falling trees,” said a college spokesman.

The college has said that South Somerset District Council has kindly made car parking spaces available at the Yeovil Athletics Track off of Ilchester Road for students to use.
