Yeovil Town hit eight past Wincanton

A STRONG Yeovil Town XI tonight (Tuesday, October 15, 2013) emerged easy 8-0 winners in tonight’s friendly at Wincanton Town.

The game at Wincanton’s Moor Lane ground was being held to celebrate the official switch-on of the club’s new floodlights.

The Yeovil starting line-up included plenty of Championship experience including that of strike duo Andy William and Paddy Madden.

Also in the line-up were club captain Jamie McAllister, loan defender Liam Fontaine returning from injury, plus midfielders Kevin Dawson (pictured left) and Sam Foley who have not been featuring in Yeovil’s Championship starting sides of late.

Yeovil broke the deadlock through Fontaine and then a trialist made it 2-0 to Yeovil. Further goals from Williams, Madden and Dawson made it 5-0 at the interval.

Substitutes Sam Hoskins, Joel Grant and Kieffer Moore completed the scoring after the interval.
