Middlesbrough v Yeovil Town: Glovers look to bounce back

YEOVIL Town go into their Sky Bet Championship match today (Saturday, October 5, 2013) at Middlesbrough hoping to get a much-needed result.

The Glovers arrive at the Riverside Stadium finding themselves in the relegation zone with just five points to show from their opening ten fixtures.Middlesbrough v Yeovil Town: Glovers look to bounce back

Despite a lack of points, Yeovil have shown plenty of signs in their play that they are not far away from getting things right on the pitch.

Yeovil’s last outing at Huish Park on Tuesday night saw them fall to a 2-1 defeat against the high-flying and impressive Leicester City.

Glovers’ midfielder Joe Ralls said: “We were disappointed not to get a result, but Leicester are a good side; we knew that.

“We had a bad spell in the second-half where we conceded the two goals, but our work-rate is brilliant.”

Ralls will be expecting to see that same work-rate today at the Riverside when the Glovers take on fellow early-season strugglers Middlesbrough.

He said that there was no reason why Yeovil could not win every match if they “turned up” and each player was at the top of their game.

“We need to play the game we want to play and put them under pressure,” he said. “We know about the Middlesbrough players and if we can put in a good performance, we can get a result.”

Ralls, who is on loan at Yeovil from Premier League side Cardiff City, said he was “enjoying himself” at Huish Park.
